I've been saving this joke for awhile (there's probably an early version of it floating around the dregs of my Facebook wall somewhere.) I couldn't resist drawing it for the big anniversary. I am a huge dork for cartoon voice actors. It takes a surprising amount of self control to keep myself from turning every comic into something like this one. Honestly, I might find the people who make Transformers more interesting than the cartoons themselves. In the unlikely event that Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, or any other member for the Transformers cast ever reads this comic, please know that you have my highest respect.

    Funny comic as always, but you remember most people don’t know who Peter Cullen is (particularly those who don’t speak english) et absolutely don’t care about Transformers ?

      Yes, I did think that this particular comic wasn’t going to be a hit with everyone. I want to keep most of my jokes mainstream, but I do like throwing in an obscure one on rare occasions.

      I’ve followed the careers of voice actors as a hobby since I was 14 years old, so getting to write a joke about Peter Cullen was a treat for me. Since posting this comic, I’ve actually encountered an unexpected number of other voice actor fans, so, hopefully, there are a few readers out there who can smile about this one.

      Thanks, I do appreciate your concern, but don’t worry. Name dropping obscure actors is not going to be a main source of humor in this comic.

    I had never been aware of voice actors before Futurama, but I very much recognise the name Frank Welker now (I know about Mr Cullen, but was never a Transformers fan).
