The Vine Tree Connection
During September’s full moon, we look to the virtues of the vine tree, which symbolizes connections. It’s clear why the vine is associated with connections, as vines grow by spreading out and growing along any other plant or structure they can reach.
Vines are the first of three zodiac trees that are not technically trees. However, the name “vine” refers specifically to grape vines. Grape vines make such a big impact on humanity by providing ingredients for food and drink, so I can see why our ancestors would want to include a plant that was so significant to their lives.
I also find it interesting that fruit and wine are often things that people share in groups, so vines also encourage social connections as well as creating physical connections.
